A First Timer's View I was excited about the opportunity of
attending the recent InformService i2002 show in Chicago. Ward/Kraft
is such a diverse manufacturer, we could not have only one booth at
the show, we had six. I worked at the Labels Booth and also at our Ad
Specialties booth. Every time that I got the chance to talk to a distributor
or even another vendor, they said to me, "Man you guys are everywhere!"
We like being everywhere. --DeAnn Welch Looking

or call me at Thinking out of the box Are you looking for an adhesive that is aggressive enough to stick where only permanents have been used - yet it can be removed cleanly and be reapplied to a totally different surface? A label that functions as a piggyback but is actually a recyclable single-ply? If you answered "YES" then T1055 Temporary adhesive is what you are looking for. It can be combined with several different face sheets, such as laser uncoated, direct thermal, thermal transfer, polypropylene, high gloss, semi-gloss, and latex. The T1055 Temporary adhesive will stick to irregular surfaces and it will stick in damp, cold conditions. There are many applications, such as cartons labels, return labels, promotional labels, tote and bin labels, mirror/glass Mfg., shipping labels and many more. The T1055 Dispersion Label can be applied to a variety of products and removed without disturbing the surface or adhesive buildup. This Temporary adhesive provides the single media solution and will take you beyond the box. Contact Mark Thompson at 800-351-9302, Ext. 4562 or mthompson@wardkraft.com for more information.
Integrated Labels...Profits That Stick! Integrated labels are one of the fastest growing products in our industry today and Ward/Kraft is a leader in the field. Our ability to create integrated labels in laser cut sheets, unit sets and continuous forms gives us a unique advantage. Add to that our imaging, die cutting and pattern adhesive technologies and you have a powerful arsenal for creating innovative solutions for your customers. Let's look at just a few examples. Over the past years we have all seen the rise in laser cut sheet forms. This naturally leads to smarter and more efficient forms by incorporating labels. Applications for pick and pack systems, return labels, prescription labels, shipping or manufacturing are excellent opportunities for new sales. A good example would be a software company or other dot com type scenario. The purchased item will be boxed and shipped with an enclosed packing list, which also acted as the pick ticket. Incorporated into the pick/pack form would be the shipping label. At the point of packaging the label is removed and affixed to the out going box or package. A secondary label can be included for a returned goods label. Another cut sheet version to keep in mind would be an integrated label in a pressure seal or U-Seal mailer. We are already producing mailers with built in return labels, address labels and shipping labels. They can be processed through standard folder/sealers and are fully postal approved. Many doctors and pharmacies are moving to laser printed prescription labels. There are several formats out there that normally include multiple labels for pill bottles or bags. These formats are also great applications to offer document security such as micro printing and VOID pantographs. Ward/Kraft is also now licensed to produce the new Flick-A-Way product. Integrated labels can be created in continuos forms as well. Ward/Kraft has the ability to use a special liner with a CB coating. This allows you to put an integrated label on part of a multiple part carbonless set. As the label is truly integrated there is no affixed label so there is no buildup on the face of the form that might catch on a print head or tractor gate. The CB liner allows for image transfer to other parts. As the integration process is completed prior to collating, the same process can be sued for unti set applications. Integrated labels in unit set may be used for product marking, inventory tags or numbered for cross-referencing. These applications may also provide the opportunity to add imaging such as bar coding thus adding more value to the form. One quick tip for selling integrated labels or any form/label combination, start at the back of your prospects operation and find how the label is being used. Determine what information must appear on the label. Next find what document further up stream carries that same information. That may be your best target document for an integrated label. One important plus on integrated labels lies in the fact the label and form are printed at the same time therefore ensuring color match and registration. Ward/Kraft offers more training and information on integrated labels through our WK Live Online training center.
